Palm Day 3 Hi everyone! A beautiful day to ride the 54 miles to arrive here in Evart,MI. The temperature dropped overnight and a cool morning developing into a mild 74 degree day with no humidty.
There are 750 bike riders here for this event. Many are families and many have been doing this ride for most of the 35 years it has been in existence!
We sleep each night in tents ( bring your own), at the local high school,trucks transport our gear daily.
Breakfast and dinner provided in our fee. Lunch is own your own.
The meals have been of varying degree of quality,with last night abissmal(we actually went out to eat a more suitable dinner after attempting to eat their meal)and tonight absolutely fab!
The scenery has been agricultural and forestry with lumbering of white pine very common. Also pretty lakes with a picture of Chippewa Lake on today’s ride. The second picture at Riverside Park a very pleasant campground and park we found as we entered this town of Evart.
Just relaxing this evening. Tomorrow onto the town of Gladwin,MI.
